At Northern Builders we often hear the families touring our models say, ”We’ve been looking for quite a while, and we just don’t know where to begin!” With this statement in mind, Northern Builders has assembled what we call our “standard” model packages. These five designs are a compilation of what we have found to be the most popular sizes and layouts of cottages we’ve built through the years.
“Sunrise” is our 816 square foot ranch cottage. Built with all of the same high-quality materials as the rest of our cottages, it offers two bedrooms and one full bath with a covered front entrance and cement patio off the great room. With vaulted ceilings throughout the Kitchen, Dining Room, and Great Room, along with a full 8′ basement, 6-panel pine doors, well and septic all as part of our standard turn-key package, it is an ideal affordable cottage for those weekend get-aways.
“Forest” is our one-bedroom cottage with loft. Designed very similar to our “Crivitz” model, it offers a smaller floor plan and budget for those families who may not want or always need that extra bedroom on the main level. With the loft space included, many families have found this space ideal for the kids to “camp out” up there for the weekend. With standard features such as Pella windows, custom hickory cabinets, custom log rail, and 3-1/2″ knotty pine trim, quality abounds in this 1,000 sqft cottage.
“Hillcrest” is our two bedroom 1,146 sq. ft cottage with loft.
“Crivitz” is our two-bedroom 1,300 sqft cottage that includes generous loft space. With all the features of our “Forest” model, plus the second bedroom on the main level, weekends away with family and friends will be something you want to do much more often.
“Lakeview” is the biggest of our standard model packages. At nearly 1,700 sqft. with three bedrooms and two full baths, space is never an issue in this gorgeous cottage. With a large master bedroom, impressive kitchen space, and a view that is sure to take your breath away, leaving on Sunday is sure to be the only disappointing part of your weekend.
